Krishnan was born in the small village of Kurumba Aeri Pudhur, in Vellore District, Tamil Nadu. After graduating in BA, he is now studying for his final year LLB in Karnataka.
After experiencing Dreamcatchers' work for tsunami affected communities In 2006-7, Krishnan discovered his inner power, talents and vision for his future life.
Krishnan joined us in 2008 and started working with the Peacemakers program. In his work, he has observed that the children's hearts are closed, but through our work they are able to open up their hearts and express their thoughts and share their feelings with others.
Peacemakers helped Krishnan towards changing his basic outlook of life. Krishnan now has the patience and confidence to speak in different contexts and to handle situations softly. He believes, any issue has to be dealt by realizing it and not just as an event, but rather, by truly understanding it and respecting others.
Krishnan enjoys his work because he feels that everything is within the programs that he leads and that it changes people to the degree that they will allow it into their hearts. "It is not just enough if that we are born as human beings, we have to live with feeling in order to go inside. Dreamcatchers gives that kind of feeling, to realize whatever we hear will be meaningful if it touches our heart rather than just our minds." says Krishnan.
Krishnan always had a desire of helping others from a very young age and through the work at Dreamcatchers he says he has found a right platform to fulfil his desire of helping others. "It has also helped me realize myself," says Krishnan.
In the future, Krishnan has expressed a desire to a do lot more programs for Dreamcatchers and go wherever children need him.
